Cheyanne Boudoir at the Point

I have to admit that Cheyanne was the biggest pleasure to work with, she booked this session as a surprise for her husband's upcoming birthday next month; I must say he is going to really enjoy his birthday this year! This lovely lady was so confident right from the beginning; she was a tad shy at first but after the first few shutter clicks she was on a role! I absolutely LOVE this location and have used it quite frequently during several sessions, the walk out there and back isn't the greatest but the benefits from walking almost a mile over sand dunes doesn't get much better than these beautiful images. I have to admit that I have the greatest job ever, I have the pleasure to work with some of the most gorgeous women ever! I had such a blast with this session and was astonished at the the proofs during the editing process! 

Finally Off My Chest

Ok I need to say something and if I hurt anyone's feeling than I am sorry and your going to have to deal with it. 

I have been stressed to the max these past few months and instead of letting everyone else win and giving up the one thing I love doing, I am going to say something. I run my business the way I WANT TO RUN MY BUSINESS!! I will NOT change my business because someone else runs theirs differently. I edit EVERY SINGLE image I offer to my clients because I want my work to look as best as it should and you all deserve the best. I tell every single one of my clients and my website also states that I have a turn-around date of 2-4 weeks and sometimes longer depending on how many sessions I am having to work on at a time and even longer for weddings. You have to understand that your session is not the only one I am working on at a time. I have several session that I work on at the same time because sometimes staring at a screen for hours on end in one day at the same images will just drive you crazy... Try it and you will see!! I spend at least 4-8 a day working on images and even then I am still seeing images and colors when I look away from the screen. I charge the amount I do for sessions because currently as most of you know, gas is not cheap! I have to pay for my own gas to get to and from a session and sometimes I even have to travel out of town for sessions. I then spend 60-90 minutes at a session taking images on a DSLR camera that is not very cheap, with several lenses that were just as expensive as the camera that I pay for out of my own pocket. Then I go home, sit in front of the computer for hours at a time and edit anywhere from 20-600 images (depending on the session) and I either spend an hour or so while uploading them into an online gallery for your viewing or I upload them onto disks that I have to personally pay for out of my own pocket yet again. Then I either have to spend my own personal time and money again to meet clients to get them their disks or I have to travel to the post office and mail them out, make sure that they all have tracking and insurance incase those images are lost (which has happened in the past). 

Now do all of you realize what us photographers go through, please be considerate the next time you email us every hour asking if your images are done yet. We are taking away from our own family time to make sure you get your images within the timely manner. Thanks for reading and I hope you give your photographer a little more credit once in awhile.

Parmiter Stables Session

I have been wanting to do a session at the Stables were I board my horse and I immediately thought of Cassie. 

Of course the past two days before this session my horse had had vet appointments so at some points he wasn't very cooperative during this session. I was still able to get some pretty amazing shots and as you can tell I couldn't decide which ones I loved the most so I posted quite a bit of them. 

I had an amazing time with this couple while they were just enjoying the farm and playing around with the horses that kept interrupting our session. My husband had joined me on this session and he had a good time getting to know this lovely couple as well as I and actually we all ended up going out to dinner afterwards. 

Parmiter Homecoming

What to say about this lovely lady... 

Cassie emailed me about this session I think even before her husband left for deployment, to make sure that I was available. On the day of this session this girl got me so lost on base, (which is still beyond me how it happened, I never get lost on base) she sent me way out of my way just to get somewhere that would have taken me less than 10 minutes to begin with. This crazy girl walks up to some random guy in cammies and asks him to give her photographer directions. This was definitely a first for me getting lost. 

Anyways, this session was also very different from any other session I have done because this session was in a big maintenance building instead of the usual gym or outside... The buses pulled inside the building and all of them men were released to their families. These are just a few of the images I created of this gorgeous couple during this time.

Ward Family

I only have a few things to say about this family since I didn't know them very well but they were absolutely amazing. This was one of the sweetest families that I have ever worked with. They were so in love and they weren't afraid for anyone to know it. I had a great time with this lovely family!

Robinson Homecoming

Rachel messaged me about 5-6 months in advance to make sure that I would be available for her husband's Homecoming. Of course that far in advance I would be available so I immediately booked her into my calendar. Also Rachel was pregnant with their third child during her husband's deployment so this date would be EXTRA special for both of them. It would mean daddy was meeting the baby for the very first time.

Kruger Wedding

The big day is here!! 

Tia and Brad's wedding wasn't supposed to be for a few more months but Brad was unfortunately being sent away for training during that time. 

Tia called me the day before their scheduled plan of going to the courthouse, and pretty much begged me to do their wedding at such short notice. Oh, and did I mention she was in Texas waiting to board a plane to arrive in North Carolina by that night. Now tell me how can you turn down a beautiful Bride desperate for photos from her wedding? I had to say yes. 

This day was so special for this gorgeous couple and also special for me. This was my very first wedding and also my husband assisted me during this session so it was pretty fun seeing him smiling at me while I was working. 

I enjoyed working with this lovely couple, and now I can't wait for the BIG ceremony planned hopefully soon!
